Fusion Login System: Release Notes v1.0

Unifying Speed, Security, and Seamless User Access.

Release Overview: NDAX Fusion Login v1.0

The Fusion Login System represents a complete refactoring of the user authentication workflow, designed to deliver a best-in-class login experience that is both instantaneous and impervious to threats. This update is part of NDAX’s commitment to providing Canadian traders with the most robust, high-performance platform available. Version 1.0 integrates parallel processing for credential verification and an adaptive security layer.

Our goal for Fusion Login was to eliminate authentication latency, ensuring that "Fast & Easy Entry" is a guaranteed experience, not just a promise.

Section 1: Technical & Infrastructure Improvements

Under the hood, Fusion utilizes a new, globally distributed architecture that minimizes data travel time, making credential verification virtually instant for users across Canada.

  • Reduced Latency via Edge Computing: Authentication servers are now deployed closer to population centers, reducing average login response time by 30ms.
  • Asynchronous Credential Validation: Password and email hash comparisons are now executed in parallel with initial risk assessment checks, preventing blocking I/O operations.
  • HTTP/3 Optimization: We have upgraded our transport protocol to support HTTP/3, leveraging QUIC to ensure faster connection establishment, especially in high-latency environments (e.g., mobile networks).
  • Stateless Session Tokens: The implementation of JWT (JSON Web Tokens) provides secure, efficient session continuity across all devices, reducing the server load required for persistent state management.

Section 2: User Experience (UX) Enhancements

The user-facing changes focus on simplifying the multi-step process required by regulatory compliance into a clean, single-screen experience where possible.

  • Frictionless 2FA Prompts: Adaptive logic now distinguishes between new and familiar login attempts. Trusted devices will see a streamlined 2FA entry field immediately upon password success, eliminating unnecessary interstitial screens.
  • Integrated Biometric Fallback: On supported mobile platforms, the system is now pre-primed for biometric verification. The login button instantly triggers the native Fingerprint or Face ID prompt upon successful password entry.
  • Real-Time Input Validation: Input fields now provide instant, localized feedback on credential formatting and strength, reducing failed submission attempts caused by simple user errors.

Section 3: Enhanced Security Architecture

Security remains non-negotiable. Fusion introduces several layers of adaptive protection that run silently in the background.

  • Adaptive Risk Scoring (ARS): Every login attempt is now scored based on parameters including geo-location, time of day, device fingerprint, and behavioral patterns. High-risk scores trigger mandatory re-authentication or additional challenge questions.
  • Mandatory 2FA Enforcement: All accounts are required to use 2FA, which is now securely stored using HSMs (Hardware Security Modules) for tamper-proof key storage.
  • Comprehensive Device Management Portal: Users gain a granular view of all devices currently authorized to access their account, with one-click revocation available on the security settings page.

The NDAX Fusion Login System v1.0 sets a new benchmark for cryptographic security combined with superior speed. We encourage all users to experience the improved efficiency immediately. Future versions will explore integration with physical security keys (e.g., FIDO2) and advanced behavioral biometrics.
